There are six core components to optimize your offers:
Component 1: Non-Member Pricing (MSRP)
- This is your Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price — the highest price point on your PDP.
- Typically equal to your MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) and what most non-members will see.
- Acts as the anchor price for discount perception and brand positioning.
✅ Best Practice: Keep this aligned with your brand’s MAP to avoid channel conflict.
Component 2: Member Pricing (Truly Free Price)
- This is the exclusive price for Truly Free Members.
- Always equal to or lower than your Non-Member/MSRP price.
- We are actively working to hide this pricing from Amazon’s scraping algorithms to prevent unwanted price matching.
- This is critical because 98%+ of our customers are members, making this the primary selling price for most buyers.
✅ Best Practice: Use this to provide real value to members without sacrificing your broader channel pricing strategy.
Component 3: Additional Talents (Credits)
- Credits given to customers to incentivize purchases.
- Can be applied toward your products or other sellers’ products on the platform.
- Drives cross-seller sales and increases platform engagement.
✅ Best Practice: Use credits strategically during launches, seasonal campaigns, or when you want to boost a SKU’s sales velocity.
Component 4: Sherpa Commission
- The commission paid to affiliates for conversions driven through their links.
- Rates are flexible and can be adjusted per campaign or product.
✅ Best Practice: Higher commissions can attract more influencer/affiliate traffic, especially for new or high-margin products.
Component 5: Shipping Strategy
- Free shipping is strongly encouraged for conversion lift.
- If margins don’t allow free shipping on all items, offer:
- Free shipping thresholds (e.g., orders over $50)
- Free shipping on high ASP products
- Free shipping on bundles to increase AOV (Average Order Value)
✅ Best Practice: If your product COGS cannot support free shipping, then it is better to build in shipping cost into your Truly Free Price!
Component 6: Free Samples for Influencer & Affiliate Adoption
- We highly recommend offering samples for higher adoption among influencers and affiliates. Your account manager will work with you to get samples to partners.
- Samples help creators test and experience your product, making their content more authentic and effective.
